1000 HP 2017 TransAm Super Duty Here to Give the Demon a Run for Its Money
Step Aside Dodge Demon, The Bandit is Back
Published July 10, 2017
After Pontiac went belly-up in 2010, sections of the GM division still live on and are eager to grab our attention. TransAm Depot, which essentially offers coach-built Camaros, is coming out with a new nod to the F-Body Firebird based from the sixth generation Chevy Camaro. The 2017 TransAm Super Duty is now one of the most powerful muscle cars available on the market. However, you want to act now, as they will be sold out soon.
The impressive and understated 7.45 Liter V8 engine is completed by a 2.3L Magnuson supercharger system. With the help of 14 psi of boost, the car makes a stunning 1,000 horsepower and 1,046 lb.-ft. of torque. While competition in the muscle car arena has been beefing up lately, Chevy had no plans to sit idle and let the Dodge Demon have all the fun. To add an aspect of rarity and friendly competition, TransAm Depot is only releasing 50 units in comparison to the Demon’s 3,000 units to be sold in the US.
If you want a taste, it’s not too late. Orders are being accepted as of May 1, 2017. To get in on the action all you need is a $3,000 deposit. That being noted, the actual sticker price for this monster has not been released, which is largely due to the vehicles being completely customizable. This may very well be a case of “if you have to ask, you can’t afford it.” Truly interested customers can contact TransAm Depot directly to receive more information.
