Is there really no replacement for displacement? Of course there is! It is called EcoBoost, and it’s a testament to the fact that we made turbos for a reason, dammit. Slightly updated and tuned up by the Brew City Boost shop in Wisconsin, this has become fast enough to take on some serious industry heavyweights. Not in the pickup category though, no sir; this F-150 is punching well above its weight in the realm of muscle cars. Considering that even the stock one has an engine developing 370 hp and a healthy 470 lb-ft of torque, we can conclude this one pushes the numbers north of 500 on both accounts.
While it hasn’t been officially dyno’d yet, the owner took it to the drag strip and set an incredible time of 12.429 seconds clocking 108.54 mph.

With the aluminum body, throaty V6 and fantastic 10-speed automatic transmission, this tuned 2017 Ford F-150 XLT 4×4 probably represents one of the best sleepers you can have today. You may notice its power in this video. The truck muscled it out with a , a supercharged Mustang, a Corvette and a freaking .
Mainly thanks to the superfast launch provided by AWD, the F-150 was victorious on all accounts. Now, watching the video you may see some inconsistencies with the drag races you’ve watched before.
We simply have to bring it up.
It seems that every car the F-150 went against was a bit late at the start. If it happened once I wouldn’t bat an eye, but it seems that every single time the F-150 EcoBoost was a tiny bit ahead at the start.
Nevertheless, the time achieved certainly says it all. With a slight tune including the methanol injection, new intake, and exhaust components, the 2017 Ford F-150 EcoBoost goes from fast to “sports car slaying” fast. Even if it was a bit early off the line, it seems as though most of the cars it went up against didn’t stand a chance in the 1/4 mile anyway.
