2017 Mazda MX-5 Pricing Tweaked A Bit
Whenever an automaker makes an announcement about pricing, a list of vehicles, usually with significant price hikes shown, follows. It’s nice when a carmaker does otherwise. Mazda recently placed a stake in the sand on Miata MX-5 roadster price creep, for the most part.
For 2017, the two-place roadster carries the same base price as 2016, $24,915. Optional package pricing has remained mostly stable. Equipment that was optional in 2016 has become standard.
For example, the mid-level Club’s standard equipment includes Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Last year, they were standard only on the top-of-the-line Grand Touring model. The added equipment has upped the price a bit with the Club 6MT carrying a price of $28,800 base price tag. Automatic-equipped MX-5 Clubs are also up a bit at $29,530. Both prices are up $200 over 2016.
Pricing for the MX-5 RF carries over unchanged. The same goes for the roadster and RF versions of the MX-5 Grand Touring.
