2017 Nissan Juke Black Pearl Edition Apparently Has Some “Z” In It
appeared in 2010. That is a long time ago and with the reveal of the 2017 Nissan Juke Black Pearl Edition, we can see the Japanese manufacturer is doing all it can to make it fresh. At least for 1,000 people who are destined to buy the Black Pearl Edition. 250 more will reach Canada. See, this is a limited edition car. In fact, it will appear at the Los Angeles Auto Show in a day or two.
As any serious car manufacturer, Nissan has its own “personalisation division” to tailor the car per specific tastes. It is called the Color Studio and this is their latest work. Now, do not get your hopes too high about this model. After all, it is just a Juke with the mid-range SV trim. They did not even bother with the top of the line car. It is pretty apparently.
Cheap, but effective package
The Black Pearl Edition pack costs $1,190. For the money, the buyer will get a unique Super Black paint job. Dark paint job contrasted by Pearl White accents on the mirror casing, chin and roof spoiler gives a bit of flair to the Juke. 17-inch black gloss wheels finish it off.
Inside saw the introduction of black cloth upholstery spiced up with white stitching and some white inserts.
“The ‘Black Pearl’ name draws on Nissan heritage, reviving a name originally used on a limited edition 1978 280Z model,” said Michael Bunce, vice president, Product Planning, Nissan North America, Inc. “It also embraces the spirit of every Nissan Z®, combining bold styling with dynamic performance.”
Black Pearl employs a 1.6L turbocharged engine giving out 188hp and 177 lb-ft of torque. As for the price, add that $1,190 on top of $22,550 of the Juke SV. AWD will set you back additional $1,850.
