Chevrolet is planning to go hard at this years’ SEMA show. Apart from displaying 20 different production and concept cars, Chevy is bringing two awesome editions – the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Midnight Edition and the 2018 Colorado ZR2 Dusk Edition. After all, the company celebrates 100 years of production of trucks. What better way to celebrate it than by revealing additional editions of their latest trucks? This news comes about a week before the SEMA show kicks off in Las Vegas on October 31st.
“The 2018 Colorado ZR2 Midnight and Dusk Edition models offer customers even more personalization choices from the only company with three distinct trucks: midsize, full-size and full-size heavy-duty,” said Jim Campbell, U.S. vice president of Truck Strategy, Performance Vehicles, and Motorsports. “Chevrolet offers more choices because the truck market is too diverse for a ‘one size fits most’ strategy.”
Visitors to the 2017 SEMA show, held from Oct. 31-Nov. 3, will be able to check out all the prospects of the new trucks.
The 2018 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Midnight Edition utilizes an all-black exterior. Much like most of the other Chevrolet Midnight Edition vehicles. This includes a black bowtie emblem, black finish, 17-inch five-spoke black accessory wheels (spare included), a black sports bar, LED lighting, and a whole lot of ZR2 logos.
Obviously, it is the more badass of the two.
The other Dusk Edition model comes to SEMA wearing a cool Summit White finish with many of the same additions as the Midnight Edition model. The only difference being the fact that the Dusk Edition can be optioned in any other finish.
In theory, one could have a red Colorado with a Dusk Edition package, but the Midnight Edition is only black.
Both 2018 Chevrolet Colorado Editions Based on the ZR2
Both of these special editions are based on the Colorado ZR2, which means that these trucks have some serious off-road cred. The Colorado ZR2 features a 2-inch lift compared to the regular model. Also, it has a 3.5-inch wider track, which helps with stability while off-roading for sure.
These special edition ZR2s also boast “a bed-mounted spare tire carrier, Performance Air Intake, Performance Exhaust and all-weather floor liners with ZR2 logos.”

Chevrolet noted that both packages cost an additional $3,425.
