The 2018 Ducati Panigale V4 – More Leaked Photos!
Want to get a better look at the up and coming 2018 Ducati V4 Panigale?
More leaked photographs have surfaced showing off the upcoming 2018 Ducati V4 Panigale. Unlike the last image, these ones actually show off some interesting details. These pictures arrived just hours after the new engine was formally unveiled at a press conference at San Marino’s Misano Circuit in Italy.
We already know that the new Desmosedici Stradale engine will be a furious 210 hp power house, but now we’ve got clearer pictures of the Panigale V4 that will proudly carry it into battle. While they’re only spy shots, we’re taking this as a pretty positive indication that we should be expecting the 2018 Ducati Panigale V4 to be debuted later on this year at Milan’s EICMA show. The “” name has already been confirmed by Ducati boss Claudio Domenicali, and now we’ve got these clearer images, we can see that the new model is a direct evolution of the Panigale series that we already know and love.
The 2018 Ducati Panigale V4: Leaked Images!
As you can see in these photos, we have the 2018 Ducati Panigale V4 S model. It features an evolution of the bold Panigale styling, with sweeping angles and curves. We can see the flowing air ducts coming from below the headlight feeding the air box above the engine, with new fairing sections that look like they’ll help cool the new engine, and we can also see the same semi-active Öhlins suspension at the front and rear as on the old Panigale, with the same forged aluminum Marchesini wheels too. About that suspension though…as you can see at the rear, Ducati have opted for a more vertical and centered rear shock than before, which is a nice change.
For all the new bodywork, it’s the rear end that really catches our eye. The rear subframe seems to bolt directly onto the new V4 powerplant, which leaves enough room for those voluptuous header pipes from the V4 to coil around the back of the engine before they join the exhaust muffler that sits in a cool underslung position underneath.
We’ve got to give credit to Ducati’s designers here – because despite the fact that Ducati are moving forward with an entirely new engine format, the designers have managed to refine and redesign the Panigale to accommodate the new engine. Nothing looks forced here. It is exactly what we said above: the 2018 Ducati Panigale V4 is the perfect evolution of the Panigale model. And fortunately this won’t be its final form – because we’re going to be seeing more than one model powered by this magnificent engine.
