Cell Phone Spy Shots of the Upcoming Bullitt Mustang
The Bullitt Mustang Looks Mean in Green for a Commercial Shoot
This year is a good one for rumors flying about new production cars, especially of the Mustang breed. In this case, we see that the Bullitt Mustang may have been spotted in a commercial shoot. While the shots may not be top quality, they provide a glimpse of the bodywork without camo. We love spy shots of all sorts around here so the fact that these are available at all is amazing.
A promo video with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson gives the first hint that the Bullitt Mustang is coming. Now, with a keen eye, a Mustang6G.com user brings us a first look at the 2018 model. What seems to be an underground parking garage shoot for a commercial is the scene of the shots. Despite the quality of the cell phone camera and underground lighting, we can still see some distinctive markers.
The five-spoke wheels that don’t come on any run of the mill Mustang are the first hint. Second is the Highland Green paint job which is hard to spot anywhere else. These work with the chrome accents that only come on special editions and, more specifically, the Bullitt Mustang. This means that there should also be a faux gas cap to the rear of the car. It also could mean that the return of the rear window louvers unique to the Bullitt edition are coming back.
The reveal of a window sticker that had been leaked for the Bullitt Mustang just came out not too long ago. This shows us that there will only be one engine option for the special edition. The 5.0L Coyote V8 is the beating heart paired with either a 10-speed auto or manual-six transmission.
Ford has yet to make an announcement despite these leaks as well as accidental sketch showings. Maybe now, with eyes and camera lens laid on it by an outside source, we may learn more. It seems like a commercial being shown at this time of year means that news may come at the Detroit Auto Show. The timing also seems rather perfect for the 50th anniversary of the 1968 Mustang 390 GT making its film debut in ‘Bullitt’. As a result, we will be on the edge of our seats waiting for the reveals coming out of Detroit next month.
