Chevy Celebrates 100 Years Anniversary with New 2019 Silverado
Its rather impressive
Chevy enthusiasts coming together to celebrate 100 years of Chevy trucks at Texas Motor Speedway got an exciting surprise airlifted into the limelight. Quite literally dropped from a helicopter in front of the audience, the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 100th anniversary special edition made its debut in a stunning display of eminence. While this is not the only “Centennial” edition Chevy will bring to the table, it is the first we have seen thus far. Advertised on Chevy’s website is also a Colorado Centennial Edition.
So, what’s all the fuss about? Details and specifications are being held back for now. The true debut is said to be scheduled for the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January. The date will mark exactly 100 years since Chevrolet distributed their very first trucks. Chevy has stated that they will offer 8 different 2019 Silverado trim options, as well as a Z71 package complete with a two-inch lift. We also know that the newest Silverado lost some weight, and beefed up its high-strength steel alloys.
The sleek and dominating look is going to be offered in a new “Centennial Blue” paint option with the classic Chevy bowtie posted around the interior. Convenience and functionality were at the top of Chevy’s list, with more than 7,000 customers giving input on design and desired features. Most likely to catch your eye as it rolls by are the 22-inch Silver-painted wheels with chrome inserts. Those same chrome accents can be found on the mirrors, tow hooks, and door handles.
It would seem that having all of the right options was one of this celebratory model’s biggest concerns. If the actual Centennial edition is not your style, you will have several more engine/transmission combinations, colors, and a world of additional features and upgrades to choose from. One of the top trim options we know of is called the LT Trailboss, and it is just that, boss.
