Converting a $400,000 Lamborghini Aventador into a Racing Simulator
This Forza Fan Took his Gaming Experience to the Next Level
As an avid Forza fan, I can totally understand the hype around getting a proper racing simulator setup for the newest installment, Forza Motorsport 7, which released on October 3rd. I cannot, however, understand what would compel someone to turn a proper 700+ horsepower Italian supercar into the ultimate racing simulator.
Sure, the seat is already adjusted just the way you like it, and you don’t risk wrecking your car by taking it to an actual track, but can using your Lambo as a racing simulator setup really be as fun as driving the real thing?
As it turns out, it really can be. Why else would anyone do it, after all? It only took two seconds of actually thinking about it to realize that I would do this in a heartbeat over anything Logitech has for sale, if of course, I had the dough.
Money seems to be no object for the owner of this setup, as evidenced by the immaculate McLaren 675LT, complete with a Gumball 3000 livery, sharing the owner’s garage. Not to mention the impressive array of equipment required to even attempt something like this let alone pull it off successfully.
In a humorous and well-edited video, we see the Lambo owner racing down the highway to pick up his copy of Forza Motorsport 7 followed by a quick and shameless self-plug before we arrive back at the owner’s garage to get down to business. While most Lamborghini owners would faint at the thought of something scratching their roof, this owner leaves his cares at the door as he heroically mounts the Italian stallion in order to get the perfect angle for his projector setup.
Accompanied by an array of gadgets and wires, we see that the owner was quite successful in pulling off what has to be the most expensive racing simulator in the world. Even more importantly, the absolute most badass racing simulator in the world. While we would’ve been slightly more impressed with a three-screen peripheral layout, we’re happy to settle for an actual Lamborghini and an HD projector.
Are you mad? ‘Cause we sure aren’t. Watch the full video below:
