Don’t Roast Marshmallows Over a Burning Lamborghini Gallardo
It looks like the fire burned not enough to roast marshmallows from a city block away. But don’t do it. They end up tasting plasticky.
In China, this charred mound of plastic, aluminum and tears used to be a Lamborghini Gallardo. Just two months previous its owner obtained the car for $644,000 US. Before the skeptics start questioning that number, China has insane import fees on vehicles like these.
The story goes that the owner’s younger brother borrowed the Gallardo and while in his possession a fire broke out under the hood. He escaped with minor injuries, especially compared with the punishment big brother is going to dole out.
As the driver was left to ponder the best excuse he could come up with, fire trucks arrived and doused the melted mass with foam to suffocate the flames. This is usually the point where giggling Asian girls come out of the clubs and have a sexy party in the foam on the street, but instead, onlookers just stared pitifully at a totally wrecked supercar.
