Incredible 950 HP Ferrari-Powered and Inspired 1932 Ford Coupe Hot Rod Can be Yours for $250,000

It’s even got Ferrari badging and it’s red, of course

Classic 1932 Ford Coupe hot rod conversion is obviously much too tame for some people. How else would you explain the existence of this Ferrari-inspired and powered hot rod, then? Not only it exists, but the uncanny Ford/Ferrari mashup can be yours for $250,000. It’s available on the . Whether the hot rod’s worth it, that’s not for us to decide.

What’s now a Ferrari hot rod that never was, started it’s life as a 1932 Ford Coupe. Remarkably, the original chassis is still there. Even after 85 years. Of course, original body and chassis alone wouldn’t be able to handle all the extra power that 1989 Ferrari 3.0L V8 engine provides. And, thanks to dual Turbonetics turbochargers which serve as second headlight units, it provides an estimate of as much as 950 horsepower. All that power is transferred to the rear via a 6-speed Tremec manual transmission with race clutch.

And now back to the extras that make all this possible. First, there’s an independent rear suspension with 15-inch disc brakes and 4-piston calipers. Up front there’s a drop axle with discs hidden behind aluminum drum brakes. KW suspension race shocks complete the underpinnings, while Alan Lee-designed 18-inch wheels with Ferrari’s prancing pony and Achilles Race slicks finish this neatly painted picture. In order to further boost the performance, Alan Lee has built a one off stainless steel  Hi Flow headers with Cone Engineering pre-bend tubing. There’s also the AEM infinity engine computer tied to the system by the American auto wire harness.

In front of this opened-up powertrain layout sits a steel front grille with Mishimoto intercoolers. Archaic fiberglass body is painted Vintage Flatz satin red which is very similar to a hallmark Ferrari red. Since this is a racing hot rod, cabin is fitted with a full racing roll cage. It also gets buckets with 5 point harness, Dakota Digital gauges and power windows. Despite a hefty price tag, this 1932 Ford Coupe hot rod conversion should be able to find a new owner. Especially considering the racing pedigree it possesses. Built by Alan Lee Designs and Vintage Flatz for SEMA 2015, we’ve already brought you this Fordrrari .

About Nikola Potrebić

Despite driving a piece of junk, Nikola still manages to survive the harrowing experience called "A road trip in a Yugo," day in, day out. On the other hand, precious few things move him as muscle cars do. Especially those from the bygone golden era, which makes him wonder why wasn't he born a few decades earlier? Well, at least he's been given the opportunity to enjoy the likes of Pontiak Aztek, Chrysler PT Cruiser, Fiat Multipla, and other lovely millennium cars way, right? Come to think of it, I'll stick with my Yugo. Thank you very much.
