How to do 0-60 in Under 2.3 Seconds

Do You Have What it Takes to Race the 2018 Dodge Demon?

While simply driving a 2018 Dodge Demon SRT takes self-control and awareness, racing the Demon requires an almost intimate understanding of the vehicle and how it operates. As shown in the video below, you can have a classy daily driver and a beast in the streets; it all comes down to the vehicle adapting in order to give the driver what they want. With the Demon, we see a daily driver do 0-60 in under 2.3 seconds.

Upon entering the vehicle, there is a specific and ritualistic procedure of button pressing and setting changes in order to get to drag mode. The SRT button gets you into the “drag settings,” where you can control transmission and suspension functions which are all pre-programmed for max performance. With some simple training, you too can have the skills needed to perfect the Hellcat’s launch, but you have to want it. The full 840 horsepower is achieved after you use all your fingers and toes to manipulate the car into giving you its full potential, coaxing out every last drop of SRT muscle.

Before takeoff, you need to activate the race cooling system and enter drag mode. From there, you can activate the “Line Lock Control”, which allows you to get those tires nice and warm and up to speed. An intricate combination of the brake, paddle-shifters, and throttle allows you to launch at the perfect moment, and it’s all up to you from there.

Needless to say, it takes some considerable time and effort to conquer the Demon. The rewards, however, will take your breath away. For more information and advice for taming the beast, consult the video below.

About Calvin Escobar

The Car scene is so diverse Where I come from, most enthusiasts recognize the amazing engineering (particularly the engines). The bulk of the ridicule originates from the manner in which many of the vehicles are modded/maintained. Thus, the jokes and or hate tends to be aimed more at the owner rather than the machine. All of which makes seeing properly sorted old Toyota's and Hondas at car meets, auto shows, and track days all the more refreshing.

At Autowise, we envision ourselves as not just a automobile blog or an automobile news website, instead we see our website as a platform to connect all automobile enthusiast and provide them with all the information they need.
