London Crowd Causes Swarm Over Bugatti Chiron
Supercar Spotters Worse Than Celebrity Paparazzi
Every year the city of London is filled with a large crowd of supercar spotters waiting to see some of the world’s finest cars stroll down the streets of the famed capitol city. The gathering of fine cars happens randomly every summer, and the media comes in with it. We know photographers and the media can be aggressive, but this particular group of young people took desperate to a new level. As you can see in the pictures and video, parts of the enthusiastically tacky crowd resorted to literally chasing down the driver.
Gearheads alike can agree that seeing a supercar in person gets the blood pumping. That being said, how far are you willing to take that excitement to get yourself a picture? For one group of Londoners, the mob mentality took over at the sight of a $3.8 Million Bugatti Chiron. You can see the Bugatti attempt to gain some distance from the large crowd of car enthusiasts. The Chiron was then followed for some distance before getting out of sight.
The eager spectators jumped in front of the car, ran along side, and jogged directly behind for several hundred feet at a time. The Arab plated Chiron is known for being one of the fastest production cars ever made, and it seemed as if no one was going to let that photo op go. Some spectators stood back to watch the eager few make a scene of their own.
So remember, teach your kids not to chase people down. It does not matter if they are chasing a car or an ex-girlfriend, it is just not right. We will see next year if the crowd chased off this prized Bugatti, or if the driver was eating it all up.
