No More Soft-Roading for this Tesla Model X Render
Are There Superchargers in the Sahara?
In this day and age, crossovers and SUVs play a large part in our everyday lives. We see them masquerading around town as grocery-getters, people-movers, athletic hatchbacks and oddly enough, even , but a lot of manufacturers seem to have forgotten what their main purpose was initially created for; off roading. It is, after all, a Utility Vehicle.
This inherent disregard for their own roots, save for valiant examples such as the Subaru Crosstrek and Jeep Renegade Trailhawk, has resulted in enthusiasts referring to them as ‘soft-roaders’. To combat this, Mo Aoun has designed an off-road version of arguably the last CUV we would ever consider in an off-road environment:
Auon has added extra ground clearance to the Model X to accommodate the larger wheels and off-road-ready tires. Also giving it a burly appearance are front-mounted tow hooks, an absolutely massive grille guard, a roof basket complete with LED light bars, a full-sized spare rack on the back and flared fenders. The Model X already has power going to all four wheels so it was really only a matter of time before someone rendered something as bizarre as this.
Put that Boring Company idea on hold, Elon, we have something to be properly excited by.
